First, use an Ethernet cable or a WiFi network to connect your PC or laptop to the D-Link router. An active internet connection is not necessary; all you need to do is connect to the router.
To modify your WiFi settings, use these steps to access the Admin Panel on your D-Link router:
Login to 192.168.0.1
Login to 192.168.1.1
- After connecting, launch a web browser on your computer.
- Enter 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in the browser’s address box and hit Enter. As an alternative, you can enter http://dlinkrouter or http://dlinkrouter.local in place of the default gateway address.
- You will be sent to your D-Link router’s login screen, where you must provide your username and password in order to proceed.
- The login is admin by default, and no password is needed. You can use the default login information if you haven’t updated the admin login username and password. On a label on the back or side of your router, you can find the default login information. You can also look up your router model’s default login information online.
- Log in to your D-Link router by entering your login information.
- All of your router’s and WiFi network’s settings can be altered once you’re logged in.
How can the D-Link WiFi SSID be changed?
