The AT&T router web interface is your router’s control panel, where you can adjust the Wi-Fi gateway configurations. An AT&T router and a PC that is directly linked to the router are required for logging in; internet connectivity is not required. A Wi-Fi network or a LAN/Ethernet cable can be used to connect. To access the AT&T router web interface page after your PC is connected to the router, simply follow these steps:
Login to 192.168.1.254
- Open your preferred web browser on the computer that is linked to the AT&T router.
- Enter the AT&T routers’ default gateway address, http://192.168.1.254, in the URL bar of a new, blank tab and press Enter.
- The AT&T router log-in page will now be shown. To log into the router, you must enter your username and password below.
- For the majority of AT&T routers, the default username and password are: User name: empty The password is attadmin.
- Additionally, a label on the side or back of your router will have the default login information printed on it.
- After entering your login credentials, press Enter.
- The AT&T Router Web Interface will now be accessible to you. From here, you may control various router and home network settings.
Modify your AT&T WiFi password and SSID.
The router’s default WiFi SSID and password are printed on a label on the side or back of each router. This information can expose you to attackers and is both random and difficult to recall. Therefore, it is advised that you update this information. The following technique can be used to accomplish this for AT&T routers using the Router Web Interface:
Open the AT&T Router Web Interface and log in. The technique is described above.
- Navigate to Settings > LAN > Wi-Fi after logging in.
- Locate User Network by scrolling down.
- Enter the new SSID in the Network Name (SSID) field to modify the SSID.
- Enter the new WiFi password in the designated field after selecting the Use Custom Wi-Fi Network Password option.
- To save the modifications, click the Save button.
- After you click Save, the router will reboot, and since the SSID and password have changed, you will need to reconnect to the WiFi network.
AT&T Router Factory Reset
In many cases, you may need to factory reset your AT&T router because you have messed up the settings, forgotten the admin password, or are unable to access the router web interface page. To return everything to factory defaults in these situations, a factory reset is necessary. To factory reset your AT&T router, follow these steps:
- First, locate your router’s RESET button. It is often located next to the power port at the rear of the router.
- Now, push and hold the button for 10 to 15 seconds with a sharp device, like a paper clip, toothpick, or needle, and then release it.
- The router will now reboot when the LED lights blink and go out.
- After the router has rebooted, everything will be returned to its initial settings.
