Frontier router gateway allows you to change WiFi password, SSID, and default settings for Actiontec, Arris, D-Link, Greenwave, Netgear and Pace modems.
How can I modify my SSID and password for Frontier WiFi?
Actiontec F2250
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.0.1.
- Click Login after entering the admin user name and password.
- Select Basic Settings from the menu on the left after clicking on the Wireless tab >.
- Choose AES as the encryption type and WPA2-Personal as the security type.
- In the Passphrase/Key area, type your WiFi password.
- To save the changes, click Apply.
Actiontec GT784WNV
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.1.1.
- Click Login after entering the admin user name and password.
- From the menu on the left, choose Basic Settings under Wireless >.
- In the Pre-Shared Key (PSK) area under Home Network, type the WiFi password after choosing WPA/WPA2 Security.
- To save the settings, click Apply.
Actiontec WR424 Rev E, F and I
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.0.1.
- Click Login after entering the default user ID, admin, and the password, either password1 or password.
- From the menu on the left, select Wireless Settings > Basic Settings.
- Click Apply after entering your WiFi password in section 5’s WEP key.
Arris NVG443B, NVG448B, NVG448BQ, NVG468MQ
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.254.254.
- Fill in the Name and Password fields with Admin, which are printed on a label on the rear of your router.
- Select Total Control Wireless from the top menu.
- Select either the 5GHz or 2.4GHz SSID.
- In the Network Name (SSID) field, type the name of your WiFi network.
- In the Password field, type your WiFi password.
- To save the changes, click Apply.
Arris NVG589
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.1.254.
- From the top of the page, select the Home Network option.
- Select Wireless and enter the Access Code that appears on the side or back of your router if required.
- In the Network Name area, type the name of your WiFi network.
- In the Security options, choose WPA Custom, then type the WiFi password in the Key area.
- Press the “Save” button.
D-Link DSL-2750B
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.1.1.
- Click Login after entering the admin username and the password that is printed on the bottom of your router.
- Select 2.4G Wireless under SETUP.
- Put your WiFi network’s name here.
- Under Wireless Security Mode, select WPA2 as the Security Mode.
- In the WPA Mode, select WPA2-PSK (Personal).
- In the Pre-Shared Key area, type the WiFi password.
- To save the changes, click Apply.
Greenwave G1100
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.1.1.
- Click Next after entering the admin password that is written on the side or back of your router.
- From the bottom left, choose Change Wireless Settings.
- In the SSID field, type the WiFi name. (Enter the names of the two wireless networks that the FiberOptic router has.)
- Choose AES as the encryption type and WPA2-Personal as the security type.
- Enter both networks’ WiFi passwords.
- Press “Apply.”
Netgear D2200D
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.254.254.
- Click OK after entering the admin user name and password.
- Select Simple Config from the option on the left under the Wireless Settings tab.
- Click Enable Simple Config after selecting Use Push Button and entering the Network Name (SSID).
- Click Security Settings now and select WPA for Wireless Security and Personal (Pre-Shared Key) for Authentication.
- Choose AES as the data encryption type and WPA as the WPA type.
- In the WPA Shared Key area, type the WiFi password.
- Press the “Apply” button.
Netgear 7550
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.254.254.
- Click on Basic Settings after selecting Wireless Settings.
- In the SSID box, type the name of your WiFi network.
- From the menu, select Security Settings or Advanced Security Settings.
- To enter your WiFi password, choose WPA Wireless Security and then generate a WPA Shared Key.
- Press “Apply.”
Pace 4111N, 5031NV, 5168NV
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.1.254.
- On the home screen, choose Wireless under Top Networking Features.
- Click Save after entering the Network Name (SSID) and scrolling to the bottom.
- Click Submit after entering the password that is written on a label on the back of your router, if required.
- Scroll down, choose Set Custom Encryption Key, and then enter your desired password to establish a new one for your WiFi network.
- To make the changes take effect, click Save.
