You can modify the SSID, WiFi password, and other default settings for Huawei, FiberHome, ZTE, and Cisco modems using the Converge router gateway.
Select the brand of your router:
- Huawei
- FiberHome
- ZTE
- Cisco
How can I modify my Converge WiFi SSID and password?
Note: A sticker on the back of your router will print the username, password, and default gateway IP address.
Huawei
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.100.1.
- Click Login after entering your username and password. Login name: root The password is adminHW. Telecomadmin is the username. Password: Converge@huawei123 or admintelecom
- Next, select WLAN > Basic Network Settings for 2.4G and 5G.
- Put your WiFi password in the WPA PreSharedKey field and your WiFi network name in the SSID Name box.
- In order to save the modifications, click Apply.
Fiberhouse
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.1.1.
- Click Login after entering your username and password. Name: either user1 or user2. 12345, user12345, or user1234 is the password.
- After logging in, navigate to the Wireless area.
- Here, enter the new WiFi SSID in the SSID box and the new WiFi password in the WPA Pre-Shared Key field.
- To save the modifications, click the Save button.
ZTE
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.1.1.
- Click Login after entering your username and password. Username: user User is the password. Login name: admin The Converge@zte123 password
- Click the Submit button after entering the new WiFi Network Name in the SSID field under Network > SSID Settings.
- To save the changes, select Network > Security, type the new WiFi password in the WPA Passphrase field, and then click the Submit button.
Cisco
- In the address bar of a browser, type 192.168.0.1.
- Click Log In after leaving the User Name and Password fields empty if this is your first time logging into the Cisco Gateway or Admin Portal.
- Enter your WiFi password in the Pre-Shared Key after selecting Setup > Quick Setup.
- In the Wireless Network Name (SSID) field, type the name of your WiFi network.
- To make the changes take effect, click Save Settings.
